About me

Anna started to take her first instrumental lessons at the age of six
in Prague. After finishing her school days at the Prague musical college she earned a diploma (flute) at the Prague Conservatorium (class of Jan Ostry) and went on to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts (MDW), Vienna, with Hansgeorg Schmeiser (flute) and Gertraud Wimmer (traverso), graduating in 2013. Anna has successfully performed at national/international flute and recorder competitions, among others she won prizes from Engelskirchen Blockflötentage, Germany (2000 and 2003), Haifa, Israel (2013) and the Prague Spring Competition (2015). She has regularly attended Masterclasses with outstanding musicians such as Susan Milan, Vicens Prats, Karl-Heinz Schütz, Philippe Bernold, Barthold Kuijken and held a scholarship of the International Music
Academy Liechtenstein.


Between 2007 and 2017, Anna had a vivid career as a principal flautist in various European Philharmonic Orchestras (Pilsen Philharmonic, Vienna Volksoper, Bremer Philharmonics, Philharmonisches Orchester Bremerhaven) and she has been also a dedicated chamber music player. She recorded several CDs and has performed in concerts halls around the globe, including Prague, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Pretoria, Madrid, Vienna, and Sydney. Anna has also played at various events, ranging from exhibitions to major inaugurations such as with the Austrian Bundespräsident (Fischer). In 2017 she moved to Sydney, Australia where she dedicated her time mainly to chamber music and teaching.
Anna was teaching and regularly performing concerts and events at the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium, Australia from July 2021 until June 2023. She moved to Vienna in August 2023.
